Are you ready to take control of your life? If so, then tell yourself that it’s time to take control of your life and time to start getting more of what you want in life.
There is a message that I have seen copied all over the internet. It is usually associated with the latest get rich quick scheme. It seems the pushers of these schemes lack any originality, so they just steal the same message from other pushers. These pushers aren’t interested in helping you learn how to take control of your life. Most of them are only interested in your wallet. It is their attempt at a sales pitch. Here is the message:
If your life is like mine was once, being rudely awoken by an annoying alarm clock each morning, only to get dressed in the clothes that I had to buy for work, driving through morning traffic in a car that I was still paying for, in order to get to a job I needed, so I could pay for the clothes, pay for the car, and pay for the home I left empty all day in order to afford to live in it…
It’s not a bad message, as it gets the point across. However, it’s repeatedly exploited in various attempts to take advantage of people. It’s typically followed immediately by “try the _________ system and make $4,000 a week!”. Anyway, here is the question. Does that message describe you? When you were reading it, did you relate to the message?
I think most people can relate to it. In a way, that’s good, because for anyone who can relate to it, it means they’re starting to wake up. Recognizing the problem is the first step. If you thought that sounded a lot like your life, then you’ve recognized the problem.
Change the Story
Now it’s time to do something about it. I don’t mean fall prey to the latest get rich quick scheme either. It’s time to learn how to take control of your life. It’s time to start improving your life in an effort to get your life closer to what you want it to be.
You may need the knowledge but you already have the power and the ability. Start learning how to use that power and ability to your advantage in order to take control of your life and begin changing it for the better. Don’t like that story you read above? Change the story!
It starts by recognizing the problem, as I mentioned above. Next, start thinking about what you want to change and how you want to change it. Stop thinking you can’t change your life. What do you want? Do you want a bigger house in a nicer neighborhood?
Tell yourself you deserve it, and then start thinking about how you would go about getting it. Think about what steps you would need to make it happen. Do you want a newer car? What do you need to do to get it? Would you like to travel? Would you like to have extra money to give to charity? Perhaps you would like to start your own charity?
Think about anything and everything you’d like to have. Think about it all the time. Talk about it with your friends and family and even out loud to yourself. Write it down. Obsess over it. Tell yourself repeatedly that you deserve what you want. Many people would like more income and nicer things, but they don’t truly believe that they deserve it. Guess what? They’ll most likely never get those things.
Take Control of Your Life and Get What You Want
How can you take control of your life? Think about what you want. You attract what you think about. Think about the things you already have in life. How did you get them? I’m willing to bet it started with thinking about them. This is the Law of Attraction.
Apply the Law of Attraction to take control of your life and start getting more of what you want in life.
I plan to write more about the Law of Attraction in time and how to further take control of your life, but consider this a beginner’s course or a crash course. It’s simple, really. Want that new car? Think about the car you want…all of the time. Research information on it. Drive by the dealership every chance you get just to see it. Want to travel? Obsess about wanting to travel. Think about where you want to go and what you’d like to see. Talk about it every chance you get. Read about it. Collect travel brochures. Plan your itinerary even if you can’t yet afford to book a trip.
You see, when you practice this behavior concerning something that you want, you start finding ways to steer yourself in the right direction to get what you want. Haven’t you ever wanted something so badly that you didn’t stop until you found a way to get it? You can apply that to anything. You simply have to want something badly enough.
Don’t Be Complacent!
Too many people are not happy with their lives but do nothing about it. They have become complacent. Their lives will remain either the same or in decline until they eliminate that complacency. If you’re one of those people, eliminate your complacency now. You deserve better, and it’s time for you to start thinking that way.
