It’s time for another reflection post. This has been another very busy week with trying to sort out the administrative issues I’ve been having on top of working toward meeting my goals for the week (as mentioned in Reflection#1).
I met my goals for the week of finishing the on-page SEO and writing the “about me” page (though I haven’t yet published it) in addition to writing new content each day, despite not being able to post on Wednesday due to my internet connection being down.
This combination of goals that have been met along with progress on the blog is a recipe for self-fulfillment.
I’m rather happy with how my 2 part series on motivation and peak performance from the end of last week/beginning of this week turned out. If you haven’t read it yet, check it out here:
For that matter though, I’m quite happy with and proud everything I’ve written. I thought my entry on Friday about goal setting came out really well. Since we’re on the subject, I’ll take this opportunity to describe my writing process for those who are interested.
Some Time Later…
I started writing about my writing process, and after I got, oh I don’t know, 3 or 4 hundred words in (and wasn’t even close to being finished), I realized it was turning into its own article. With that said, I will post that article tomorrow.
Anyway, I apologize for that. It will be an in-depth look at how I write though, and will also include a brief description of how I find ideas for content.
Goals for Next Week
With the on-site SEO (search engine optimization) finished, I have begun work on off-site SEO. For anyone who is unaware, this pertains to things like link building (among many other things) in an effort to improve search engine rankings for my blog. I won’t go into any more details, as that is definitely an article all on its own.
Also, I am trying to remember to make an effort to include pictures in my posts. This way my entries aren’t just a conglomeration of words. I have been meaning to do this and keep forgetting, so I’m making it my goal for next week to include a picture or image in at least 1 post. Hey, one step at a time!
Now that I have a decent foundation of published content, I will probably back off of writing every day for the time being. I need the extra time to focus on other facets of the blog for a little while, such as the previously mentioned issues I’ve been having on the admin side of things, plus the off-site SEO, implementing some items to begin monetizing the site, and more. I intend to aim for 3-5 new posts per week for the foreseeable future.
That’s all for now. Come back tomorrow for the article on my writing process!
